My First Comment from TNCA*

by

Hey gang, I finally got a comment. I feel like a real blogger now.

Anyway, TNCA (which I like to think stands for T*ts and Cute *ss) passed along some invaluable insight, and for that, TNCA (wink) thank you.

I think you are right, obviously about the stunted production of K-Ville episodes and the effect of the writers strike, and I think that maybe I am just so paranoid about FOX canceling another show that I bother to watch, that I am reading more into the curtailed K-Ville first season than necessary.

So thank you for talking me down off that ledge.

Technically, wikipedia and eguides are right. Only 11 episodes have filmed so far, so only 11 can air. That is because only 11 episodes were written and ready to be filmed before the strike hit. Since the writers couldn’t write, K-Ville couldn’t film more. A 12th episode just missed the deadline. The 11 episodes are more of an indication of the strike than the desire to cancel K-Ville. Even now, FOX still talks up K-Ville. 10 episodes will air, Game Night is being held back (maybe next season?)

As for K-Ville’s future, FOX has publicized the Dec. 17th episode as a fall finale. Judging by that label, they do intend to bring it back in 2008 and even were quoted saying K-Ville will come back in a later to be determined time and day. Which day and what time? Spin the wheel and pick a time and date. Anyone’s guess is a good one.

Yes, I have tried to find more information on the FOX Boards, but there seems to be a weird “let’s-be-the-last-to-post game” that is scaring me from checking it out as a valuable resource of info and updates. I try the old google search, but now that Google has declared “ranking war” on anyone who doesn’t solely use AdSense, I feel that sometimes the search is skewed. And I tend to run into sites like ZaptoIt.com that shuts down my Mozilla, causing me to curse. And then I have to put a quarter in the swear jar. Or worse.

If anyone out there has run into a stable, safe and not annoying source for K-Ville news, please by all means, don’t keep it to yourself.

Thanks again, TNCA (hee hee).

About Watching KVille

Sure, K-Ville enjoyed a short run on FOX during the ill-fated fall television season of 2007. After being interrupted by the Writers' Strike, K-Ville was cancelled, but that doesn't mean we don't see new "K-Villes" come and go every season…This blog explores not only life after K-Ville, but also those television programs that either exploit current events or last one season or less.
