K-Ville Loses Close Race for People’s Choice Awards
Ok, so maybe it wasn’t close, but as I have no hard and fast knowledge either way, I am assuming that it was a close race, dammit. Because, yes, that’s right, K-Ville is awesome.
The People’s Choice Award for Best New TV Drama went to Moonlight.

I have not watched Moonlight, but I did see some really hokey promo spots for it when I watched Kid Nation On Demand, and frankly, I have no real plan to watch a “vampire” TV show. But please, if I am missing out, tell me and I am more than willing to maybe possibly think about checking it out. Pinky-swear.
I wrote about K-Ville’s prospects in the People’s Choice horserace in a previous post. In case you missed it, you can either check out the handy hyperlink that I provided, or here’s a quick recap: K-Ville was nominated, and I use that term loosely, for the Best New TV Drama Award, which I think entitles the winner(s) to a free small coke at Dairy Queen. The other nominees included Big Shots, Bionic Woman, Cane, Dirty Sexy Money, Gossip Girl, Journeyman, Life, Life is Wild, Moonlight, Private Practice, and Women’s Murder Club.
Of those shows, I have now seen Bionic Woman (weaker than I can accept), Journeyman (corny at times, but could be brilliant some day), Gossip Girl (too much fun, gotta love it), and Life (which is surprisingly growing on me). K-Ville didn’t stand a chance.
But then again, Ellen Degeneres won not one, but two People’s Choice Awards this year, so frankly, I am not too sure about how much clout these particular awards carry.
K-Ville, Peoples Choice, Moonlight, Kid Nation, Big Shots, Bionic Woman, Cane, Dirty Sexy Money, Gossip Girl, Journeyman, Life, Life is Wild, Moonlight, Private Practice, Women’s Murder Club, Ellen Degeneres
