Watching KVille

Ok, maybe I got your attention. Officially, K-Ville is of course on hiatus due to the writers strike. But I will have exclusive access to new scripts.

How did I get my hands on these? I’m writing them myself. I studied the one-hour drama in school and learned how to write the old teleplay, so why not give it a shot, right? I mean, it is not like I will be missing out on covering new news and such. (In all fairness, I will still cover any news or updates.)

However, I think that by writing some new episodes of K-Ville, we as a group can come up with some pretty good stories. Saying that, I invite anyone and everyone to offer input on the storylines. K-Ville (and every other television show) usually has a cadre of writers working on the scripts, so I would love to have other “writers” get involved in my little project.

Here’s my plan. Monday’s will be the teaser (the part of the show before the credits) and the first “act”, that is the part of the story before the first ad break. Everyday thereafter will be another “act”, and hopefully Friday can be a review and critique day. Or just me catching up on whatever may be going on with K-Ville, the actors, New Orleans, etc.

I am going to see how long I can keep this up. And yes, I realize that maybe I am encroaching on being a “scab.” But one) I am not writing the script for anyone other than you, my faithful and attractive readers, and two) it will not be a script. I’m going to go with more of a prose-format. Maybe dialogue-heavy scenes will fall back into a script-format, but we’ll see.

So, there you go, kids. Monday will be the first day of the rest of this blog’s life.
