Beginning of the End

by

Ok, let’s recap where we are in our “Double Identity” episode

In addition to recapping, I will also point out some trouble spots I have encountered and maybe some readers can jump in and offer their “choose your own adventure” ending.

So I opened up with a mysterious figure outside of Cobb’s trailer. I had a 3-episode arc for this little plot, so I am not too worried about explaining this away too soon. I do want to figure out how to bring this figure into the light of day for the last beat of the “Double Identity” episode.

I am trying to give Love Tap something to do, if you didn’t notice, but I fear this will have to be baby steps.

Also, trying to continue on the internal investigation plot, but I am thinking that would be more of a season long, if not season and a half long arc. I don’t know though, I mean, I thought the “mole in the department” idea was such a hackneyed idea in the real episodes that I’d rather get rid of this plot or make it really minor. I see it more of a “pendulum” above Cobb’s “pit.”

Back to our main characters — Cobb and Boulet are chasing a MacGuffin. What is a MacGuffin you ask? Try googling that word, and you will get some hits for Hitchcock films. Our Macguffin is the corpse, which I know, I know, doesn’t make too much sense now, but it should if all goes to plan in my “script.”

This David Sampson character, that is the macguffin, in case I didn’t make that too clear. But is the corpse really David Sampson? And why was DD Imports robbed on this same morning that the body of one of the owners was found? Why have the office manager never seen David Sampson?

All these questions and more will be answered in the next installment of K-Ville’s unofficial new episode, “Double Identity.”

About Watching KVille

Sure, K-Ville enjoyed a short run on FOX during the ill-fated fall television season of 2007. After being interrupted by the Writers' Strike, K-Ville was cancelled, but that doesn't mean we don't see new "K-Villes" come and go every season…This blog explores not only life after K-Ville, but also those television programs that either exploit current events or last one season or less.
